When does the Google Mini go away? Why is it going away?
Because of the expanding breadth of our overall Google Enterprise Search offering, Google will officially cease production, sale and distribution of the Google Mini on July 31, 2012.
Will the Google Mini continue working after it goes away?
The hardware and software will continue functioning as it has been, and you can continue using your Google Mini as per the terms of your current license agreement. Effective today, we will not be releasing additional software upgrades for the Google Mini.
Will technical support still be available?
Yes, we will honor the two-year technical support and hardware warranty coverage that was included when you bought your Google Mini. After your current support period expires, we will no longer be able to provide technical support.
Will you still support document upgrades on my current license?
No. The current document count of your Mini will remain the same. If you need a higher document count, we would encourage to upgrade to Google Site Search or the Google Search Appliance, depending on your organization’s needs.
What about developer resources?
A lot of the Mini’s documentation is rolled into documentation provided for the Google Search Appliance, which can be found here.
